Ten Years Ago
Ten years ago, one of the things I did was write a monthly spreadsheet column for PC World magazine. For that, I had the title of contributing editor.
Surprisingly, many of these old columns are still available online at PC World's site. I found one from August, 1998. It originally had three tips, but one is missing. In addition, the column is attributed to Phil Schmaltz -- who is actually the person who asked one of the questions that I answered.
In any case, I reproduced one of the tips and posted it here: Create A Drop-Down List Of Possible Input Values.
Even after ten years, it's a still a useful technique that many Excel users aren't aware of.
