Excel 2007 Is Confused
This morning, for the first time ever, I attempted to run a spell check on an Excel 2007 workbook. Apparently, I failed to install the spell checker, so I got a pop-up informing me that a new component was being installed.
And then this:
Uh, I'm using Office 2007, not Office XP. The "Use source" drop-down provided no other sources. Just for fun, I ran the Microsoft Office Diagnostics program. The result:
The diagnostics found no conflicting versions of Microsoft Office applications installed on your computer.
So, like most Office users who are confronted with something puzzling like this, I just gave up.
By the way, the spell checker works fine in Word 2007.
