A Cheap Version Of Office 2007
I've never really paid much attention to Microsoft Office pricing, but someone asked me about the Microsoft Office 2007 Home And Student Edition. I was surprised to see that it's priced at only $84.99 at Amazon -- and it can be installed on up to three systems.
It can't be used for business or commercial purposes, but it seems like a good
way to get all of your home systems running the same version of Office. It
includes these apps:
- Excel
- Word
- PowerPoint
- OneNote
Yep, no Outlook and no Access. Here's a link that compares the various versions of Office 2007.
Office 2007 certainly isn't perfect. Despite its flaws, I much prefer it to earlier versions. In fact, if I use Excel 2003, it's like going back in time. Everything just looks so old. And I've pretty much forgotten how to use the menu system.
